THEME: “Come to Me”
CALL TO WORSHIP
Come now all who thirst: and drink the water of life
Come now all who hunger: and be filled with good things.
Come now all who seek: and be warmed by the fire of love.
Come now to the table of Jesus:
and find here the courage to be and hope for our future.
HYMN: WOV 490 Come, let us to the Lord
PRAYER (paraphrase from Isaiah)
Thus says the Lord who created you, who formed you in the womb, who is your help:
do not be afraid, do not be dismayed, with tender affection I will bring you back home; you are mine, I will never forget you.
The mountains may depart, the hills be shaken, but my love for you will never depart:
your faults I have dispelled like a cloud, your sins like a mist. Come back to me for I have redeemed you.
Then seek the Lord while he may be found, call to him while he is near:
Let us turn back to the Lord who will take pity, to our God who is rich in forgiveness. Amen.
