CALL TO WORSHIP:
Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus,
God called into being a new temple,
a church without walls or boundaries;
called to share God’s love and purposes with all people.
This day he calls us, as he calls the body of Christ
in every generation, to be a part of this temple;
to be the church, in and for the world.

HYMN: Christ Is Made the Sure Foundation (Tune: WOV 343(ii))
Christ is made the sure foundation,
Christ, our head and cornerstone,
chosen of the Lord and precious,
binding all the Church in one;
holy Zion’s help forever
and our confidence alone.

All within that holy city
dearly loved of God on high,
in exultant jubilation
sing in perfect harmony;
God the One-in-Three adoring
in glad hymns eternally.

We as living stones implore you:
Come among us, Lord, today!
with your gracious loving-kindness
hear your children as we pray;
and the fullness of your blessing
in our fellowship display.

Here entrust to all your servants
what we long from you to gain –
that on earth and in the heavens
we one people shall remain,
till united in your glory
evermore with you we reign.

Praise and honour to the Father,
praise and honour to the Son,
praise and honour to the Spirit,
ever Three and ever One:
one in power and one in glory
while eternal ages run! ? This version Jubilate Hymns (HFTC)

OPENING PRAYERS & THE LORD’S PRAYER

TIME WITH THE CHILDREN ~ Wayne Barton

HYMN: The Church is Wherever People are Praising
The Church is wherever God’s people are praising,
knowing they’re wanted and loved by their Lord.
The Church is wherever Christ’s followers are trying
to live and to share out the good news of God.

the Church is wherever God’s people are loving,
where all are forgiven and start once again,
where all are accepted, whatever their background,
whatever their past and whatever their pain.

The Church is wherever God’s people are seeking
to reach out and touch folk wherever they are –
conveying the Gospel, its joy and its comfort,
to challenge, refresh, and excite and inspire.

The Church is wherever God’s people are praising,
knowing we’re wanted and loved by our Lord.
The Church is where we as Christ’s followers are trying
to live and to share out the good news of God. © W. Jenkins (CH4)

OFFERING:
Take the gifts we offer, O God.
Use them to pass on the story that we have received.
Use them to further the faith that has nurtured us
and brought us to this place.
We also re-dedicate ourselves as a people of action.
Re-kindle the gifts you have placed within us,
that we might serve you in all things, big and small,
each and every day, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
