NOTICES & BIRTHDAYS
CALL TO WORSHIP: Jesus said, “Go into the world”, share God’s love with all people everywhere.
Who? Me? But there are people with different skin colour, different customs, different languages, different values.
The world is waiting for us to emerge; to let go of our prejudices and go with courage along the costly path of Christ.
With God’s help we will go.
HYMN: Christians Are All Kinds of People ©Stan & Pauline Stewart
Christians are all kinds of people,
They’re average, they’re short, and they’re tall,
From all kinds of backgrounds, with all kinds of outlooks,
Our gracious God uses them all.
Christians are all kinds of people, not even especially good,
But God’s love is mighty, and that is what counts,
With mercy as wide as the sea; it reaches to you and to me.
Christians are all kinds of people.
They’re smilers, they’re grouchers, they’re clowns.
In all kinds of weather, wherever they gather,
You’ll find every kind of them round.
Christians are all kinds of people, and sometimes all kinds are in me.
God uses all kinds of people, the black, and the pale and the tan,
New Born and the aged, the fit and disabled,
They all have a part in the plan.
God uses all kinds of people, with problems, with hang-ups, with scars.

INVITATION TO SHARE IN A TANZANIAN LUNCH (as authentic as can be here in the West).
HYMN: Feed Us Now
Feed us now, O Son of God, as you fed them long ago.
The people came to hear you, the poor, the lame, the blind;
they asked for food to save them, and you fed them, body and mind.
Feed us now, O Son of God, as you fed them long ago.
The ones who didn’t listen, the rich, the safe, the sure,
they didn’t think they needed the offering of a cure.
Feed us now, O Son of God, as you fed them long ago.
It’s hard for us to listen, things haven’t changed at all;
we’ve got the things we wanted, we don’t want to hear your call.
Feed us now, O Son of God, as you fed them long ago.
Yet millions still have hunger, disease, no homes, and fear;
we offer them so little, and it costs them very dear.
Feed us now, O Son of God, as you fed them long ago. ©PJD Allen (WOV)
OFFERING: God of all people of the world, rich and poor, free and oppressed, we come now with our offering. We offer to you ourselves; money; food; our gifts, time and energy in your service. Amen.
TIME TO GREET ONE ANOTHER
PRAYERS FOR OTHER PEOPLE & THE LORD’S PRAYER
HYMN: Here I Am Lord
I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin my hand will save.
I who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear My light to them? Whom shall I send?
Here I am, Lord, It is I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, If you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart.
I the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne my people’s pain.
I have wept for love of them, they turn away.
I will break their hearts of stone, give them hearts for love alone,
I will speak my word to them, whom shall I send? Here I am…
I the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame,
I will set a feast for them. My hand will save.
Finest bread I will provide till their hearts be satisfied,
I will give my life to them, whom shall I send? Here I am… ©Dan Shutte SJ.
