Session Report Session met last Wednesday.

We had a creative discussion about the ‘new religion’ of Cross Fit gyms.  These are new gyms that actively promote a sense of community and personal transformation through gathering for group fitness sessions.  They promote a high degree of caring for and encouraging each other and also have a high expectation that members will tell others about the benefits of belonging.

We plan to introduce a prayer request book into the life of the congregation.  Requests for prayer may be made through the office, minister, or by filling in a request in a book that will be available at worship.  The request for prayers will be included in our corporate prayers on Sunday and available to others to include in their prayers.  Ideally the person or persons at the centre of the request should be aware of this and give their approval to use a Christian name.  Further it is helpful if those prayed for indicate specifically what they would like the congregation to pray for.

Christmas Services….will be combined with Beckenham Methodist.  Christmas Day at BMC, then 31st Jan here at the MLC.  Jan 7th at BMC, 14th at MLC.

Cheque Signatories…. Are being changed.

Building progress…construction work has been suspended while we wait for our architect to respond to questions raised regarding our consent application.
